John R. Davis residence in 1890. Located at E Wisconsin Ave. Davis owned the Davis Co. The home was later occupied by Charles Howard, owner of Island Paper Co. Howard was the grandfather of the Hawks family which included the famous moving picture producer Howard Hawks from Pasadena CA.
