Smith and Proctor Flour Mill built in 1852/3 as the Winnebago Flour Mill on the site of the present Badger Globe Mill. Edward Smith is pictured in the upper left and John Proctor is at the bottom right. Flour making was among the earliest manufacturing in Neenah. Eleven mills were working at one time making Neenah a leading flour mill center. Smith and Proctor ran the mill for 10 years, then sold it to Kimberly-Clark who removed it to make room for Badger Paper Mill. The building on the left is still standing and is part of the Badger Globe Mill.
